ABOUT THE PROJECT:

All the works presented are a series of works - portraits of people made with white marker on paper and acrylic on canvas. I called this series "Flamenco Sketches" because I started drawing it from flamenco dances, which have been absorbed by many cultures. But then the project grew beyond flamenco - I drew jazz singers, poets and poets, actors, or just people from the street. In total, there are approximately 30 works of various sizes in the series. Wide or narrowed cheekbones, different eye shape, emotion that leaves a mark on the face - what sets these people apart, can their unstoppable inner strength that goes outside the marker stroke?
